It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Bernie Redmond. He was called home to the Lord on Sunday, June 9, 2013 in his 92nd year. He is survived by Louise, his loving and devoted wife of 66 years. Loving and proud father of Coleen Gauthier (Ted), Terry (Janice), Geraldine Wingfield (Bill), Cathy Cadieux (Brian), and Claudia (Rich Hammond). Heroic grandfather of Mark, Shawn, Ryan, Jeremy, Luke, Michael, Jessica, Kaela, Andrea, James and Timothy. Dear brother of Robert, Sheila, Irene, Gertrude and Rosemary. Predeceased by his brother Lawrence. Bernie lived an extraordinary life filled with love, faith and happiness. He set high standards for his children and grandchildren and generously shared his enormous heart with everyone he met. Bernie's infectious laugh, intelligence and enduring honesty will be remembered forever.
Friends may pay their respects at Hillcrest Funeral Home, 151 Bond Street, Vankleek Hill, Ontario on Thursday, June 13, 2013 from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 5 p.m. at St. Jude's Catholic Church, 372 Genevieve Street, Hawkesbury, Ontario.
