Condolences
It is with sadness that we have to say goodbye to not only a dear sister, but a friend. You are missed already and will be more and more as each day passes. However, we are lucky, as we are left with many fond memories we will cherish forever. Thank you for sharing your short life with us.
Doris and I go way back to elementary school. We were friends before we were in laws. I was her maid of honour at their wedding . We raised our children together, went camping together. Our children grew up with their cousins.. it was a wonderful time. Unfortunately, life got in the way and we didn’t see each other as often as we used too. But I am left with fond memories. We will never forget our laughs, our tears, our fun times. Always remembered, never forgotten Linda & Steve
Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time. We are so sorry for your loss. Mrs. C will always be fondly remembered for opening her door and making room at her kitchen table. She was always a giving person and never asked for anything in return. Her generosity and her compassion will never be forgotten. She was gem. We’ve lost one of the good ones. She will be sadly missed. Thank you for sharing her with us.
Dear Mr.Carruthers, Kathy, Janice and Kevin, I cry as I write this because my heart is broken and my spirit crushed at the loss of your wife and your mom. Growing up, I remember us kids spending weekends with you guys... listening to music, making mini pizzas and having sleep overs. Your mom always made us feel like your home was our home... We felt like family, with your mom as the matriarch. Doris, your love of life, your kindness and your spark will be terribly missed but never forgotten. Kevin, Janice and Kathy, the next days and months will be a blur but one day, you'll smile again and know that you were loved by an amazing mom. Thank you for sharing her with us. My deepest and sincerest condolences to you. With great love, Darlene
Words cannot express how sorry I am for your loss. I remember camping with all the aunts and uncles back in the 70’s and 80’s, so much fun! I remember Uncle Jimmy and Auntie Doris trying to talk us into taking a barn kitten when we would visit. And who could forget all the wonderful gatherings at Nana and Papa’s and Auntie Doris was always there with a big smile. My most wonderful childhood memories were of our gatherings and they won’t be the same without you Auntie Doris. You will forever be in my heart. My condolences to the family during this difficult time, my thoughts, love and prayers are with you from your “Barbie”.
Jim, A good heart has stopped beating, a good soul has gone to heaven. I can't imagine what you must be feeling right now. Know that I am here for you, don't hesitate to reach out. I am only a phone call away. Our love and condolences to Kathy, Janice, Kevin and all your families. Love and hugs Joan & Wayne
How to say, in just a few words, the impact Doris' life and death have had on me, her sister-in-law and my son, Brian Villeneuve (her nephew). So many sweet and funny family memories. Birthday parties, Christmases, weddings, births and deaths, crazy family camping trips and watching our kids growing up. It wasn't a gathering without Doris and Jimmy. Always quiet but always there through all the good times and bad. You are the first of us to go and will be sorely missed. Love Always, Mary Lynn and Brian

My condolences to you Jim,Kathy, Janice and Kevin for the loss of your mom she was an amazing woman and will be greatly missed.
Our deepest sympathy to Jim, Kathy, Janice, Kevin and the family on the passing of Doris. Our hearts our breaking for you. So sad. You can shed tears that she is gone or you can smile because she has lived. You can close your eyes and pray that she’ll come back or you can open your eyes and see all she’s left. Your heart can be empty because you can’t see her or you can be full of the love you shared. You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday. You can remember her and only that she’s gone or you can cherish her memory and let it live on. You can cry and close your mind, be empty and turn your back or you can do what she’d want: smile, open your eyes, love and go on. With Love
