Dear Mooney family and friends, Deepest sympathies to you all on the passing of your dear Mom, Grandma and Great Grandma. How she will be missed by so many of us. What wonderful gifts she gave to all of us ... her family, her joie de vivre, and her immense musical gifts. I am the recipient of many words of encouragement from her as a church musician, and I was always delighted to receive a facebook birthday greeting from her which I always responded to in kind. Her birthday and mine were a day apart. (And Arlene's just a few days before). I have no doubt that she is singing and making music with great joy in her next life. I hope that such a wonderful thought will give you peace during this difficult time. Hugs to you all! Kim
To the Mooney Family , I want to express our deepest sympathy for the loss of your loved one.

To the family of Kay Mooney,
I am deeply sorry to hear about the loss of your mother. It’s never easy to find the right words when we lose someone so dear to us. Your mom lived a long and full life, and I was fortunate to have seen her a few years ago at the Heritage. I still fondly remember our visit to the farm and the times we spent playing in the barn as children.
As we grieve her passing, let us hold on tightly to the precious memories of her warmth, hospitality, and the joy she brought into our lives. Kay’s presence will be deeply missed, but her spirit will continue to live on in all of us.
“Those we love don’t go away; they walk beside us every day. Unseen, unheard, but always near. Still loved, still missed, and held so dear.” May we carry those loving memories in our hearts, forever.
With heartfelt sympathy,
Layden Brown (Edna McCaskill’s son)

Tha Grand Lady from the 6th concession has said her last goodbye. So happy I got to visit her one more time just before Thanksgiving. She told me she was having problems with her blood pressure. As the conversation continued there was a long pause. "Sidney",she said, "I'm getting tired of living I think it's time to go home." I replied "I know what you mean but just remember how much joy you still give to those that love you." I suppose, she replied.
With that she pulled out her lap top. "Do you remember this guy" she asked? She was just so proud and happy that Gerald whom she hadn't seen for many years had made a special visit from Atlanta Georgia to see her." I've had a good life and a wonderful Family." At which time we walked down to the cafeteria for her evening meal and with that I said my final goodbye to the Grand Lady from the 6th concession. Emily and I send condolences to her Family and Friends.
My deepest sympathies to the Mooney family. It was a joy and a privilege to get to spend time with her. She was a very special lady.
