Obituary of Betty Burdett

Burdett, Betty 1924-2015 Our creative mother passed away in Maxville, Ontario on Wednesday, June 24. Married to the late Douglas Burdett for sixty-four years, they moved exactly fifty-four years ago to Cedar Park, Pointe Claire. Born in the West Country, she landed with her mother at Quebec City and travelled to Conway, on the front of South Fredericksburg to reunite with Bill and live the now historic days of the Bay of Quinte. Always to be missed by her loving family: Mary Higginson(Gordon); Robert Burdett( Mimi Keenan); Adam Higginson(Melanie Conway)and George Burdett, Brian and Patricia, Ainsley Higginson, Colesie and Taylen; her sister Mary Brisbin (the late Perry), Donald Maunder( Jocelyn), the late James Maunder(Joy), and many nieces and nephews ; and her supportive friends from Cedar Park. The looms, paint brushes, knitting needles and gardening tools are stilled.Great appreciation is extended for the care and loving attention of all those at the Maxville Manor to Betty and to residents Theresa and Brian for their friendship.Donations may be made to the Maxville Manor Foundation, 80 Mechanic St. W., Maxville, ON, K0C 1T0, a charity of your choice, or offer an needed word or hand to one who needs it .A private family gathering has taken place, with inurnment and service to follow in Stratford, Ontario later in the summer.
