Condolences
Trudy van Stralen pssed away after a long illness on June 22 this year.
Going through boxes full of memorabalia, I found a card from Betty, and put it aside in order to try to connect with Betty to let her know about Trudy.
Betty and a whole gang belonging to the spiiners and weavers Guild would often travel to our farm where Trudy taught spinning, weaving, ad above all dying with natural dyes.
I am sure Betty and Trudy are at peace now and will continue their love of fibers and colours.
Jan van Stralen
It is the end of an era with Betty gone. We have been neighbors for 45 years, she and Doug watched our children grow up and always looked out for them as they waited for their school bus at the bottom of St. John's Road. When we would stop to chat, you always knew you were in for a most interesting conversation. May she rest in peace. Una O'Shaughnessy.
