I am in shock to hear Dawn left us so soon. She was a sweetheart, She will be greatly missed since she was adored by so many. My sympathy’s to the family and friends.

I went to school with Dawn after moving from Montreal to the area in grade 8. Dawn was a fierce competitor & I will always remember how her smile would brighten up a room as she had such a positive energy & a mighty heart. I’m so sorry to hear of the loss her family & friends are experiencing. Sending love to them as I pray they take comfort in that Dawn is resting Peacefully now that she is no longer suffering.

Dawn and I went to college together. When we met, I lived down the street from the school, but after becoming quick friends, I rented an apartment across the street from Dawn. It meant an hour each way on the city bus every day, and it was totally worth the extra time together. Being Halloween yesterday, I was thinking of passed Halloween's before FB memories. The first year I lived in that apartment I was so excited to give out candy, I made dozens of candy bags full of goodies. I never lived in an apartment building before, but I assumed the kids that lived in the building would trick or treat in the building. I was wrong. After an hour with no kids, I was bummed. I called Dawn to tell her. Without telling me, Dawn went outside my building and the trick or treaters that walked by her, she started sending them into the building to my apartment door. When the first kids arrived, I said "omgoodness, how did you know to come here?" The kids said, "there's a lady out there that told us to." HAHA. It made my first Halloween away from home, perfect. A memory I won't forget. Dawn had a big heart and wanted to see others happy. Even in college Dawn knew exactly what she wanted in her life, first be a mom, she ALWAYS talked about being a mom and secondly, she wanted to help others. I'm grateful to have known such a great person. Dawn was a good one. Rest in peace my friend.

My deepest condolences to Mike, Montanna, Donna and all of Dawn's loved ones. I worked closely with Dawn (literally we were cubby buddies for years) and it was an absolute pleasure. She always made me laugh when she would walk in with her multiple warm layers in the winter, including snow pants, as she was always cold. Her and I would always start our mornings just talking about how our night went or our weekends, which always included talking about "the baby". I always used to laugh and say Dawn she isn't a baby anymore and she would say she will always be to me. We would go to poutine fest and other food places around downtown, and I would bug her to try something new and sometimes she would surprise me and do it! I had taken photos of her and her family one chilly fall day some years back and you could feel the love they have for each other. I also saw her in action at work every day and she would work tirelessly for the client's we serve, always going above and beyond for them. She will always have a special place in my heart. I met Dawn in college. She was friendly and vibrant. We became friends. I will never forget her. She was an amazing person. I was glad when we were able to connect over Facebook, as we lived on opposites sides of the province. My condolences to Dawn's family. She will be greatly missed.

Dawn was a pleasure to work with at Legal Aid, she showed up every day with client focus in mind and would always go the extra mile to lend a helping hand. LAO and our clients were lucky to have her! Mike and Montana: you don’t know me but I am one of the court clerks that was lucky enough to work with Dawn at the Elgin St. courthouse. She was an incredibly kind and hardworking member of the courthouse family. The courthouse is a pretty sad place to work but Dawn made it a better place. She made remand court easier for all of us. She spoke so fondly of her family. I am sorry that she and your family had to go through this. I am thinking of you all.

Dawn was always the firecracker of our elementary school class. Always just so happy and bright. Haven't seen Dawn in person since those school days but last year, we exchanged recipes for Christmas via good old fashion mail and I will cherish them forever and celebrate her everytime I make them. My sympathies to her husband, daughter, mother, sister and family. RIP Dawn. xoxo

An angel has left the world. Dawn and her dad spent many happy days bowling, when it storms I will think of her when the thunder sounds. She is bowling with her dad and got a strike. Donna loves her with every she has, Dawn was her life. I am so sorry for the loss. Dawn had an impact on many lives.
