Dear Eleanor and family,
Our sincere condolences for your loss. It was a pleasure to have been Hebb's neighbour for the last 13 years. We will remember and cherish the plane rides with the kids as well as Hebb helping out on the property and letting us know that we were always welcome to knock on the door if we needed anything. We wish you strength, courage and serenity during these trying times.

I had the privilege of flying in Hebb's Taylor Craft when we were building our home next door.
Such fond memories of being neighbours. Hebb would come to the door and say "Can Jess come out" and Jess would always look forward to whatever Hebb had in mind for that day.
Making a landing strip with left over Christmas trees was quite something. The ice is not always that thick right after Christmas but they always seemed to manage.

The consummate professional who freely shared his knowledge and passion for flying. Meeting Hebb at an event or even just out on the street was a guarantee of a friendly greeting, interesting conversation and a good laugh. You will be missed Hebb.
My sincerest condolences to Hebb’s family, I can only imagine how much he will be missed.
When I think of Hebb - I smile. A big smile because he was always fun to be around!
I had the good fortune to on many occasions fly as Hebb’s second officer on the 727 through the 80’s and was always impressed by his good nature and pragmatism.
He was a gentleman to everybody- both inside and outside the cockpit. He had a great sense of humour, a twinkle in his eye and was a fantastic example of how to be a captain.
Hebb you will definitely be missed and not forgotten.
So sorry to hear of this sad news Shanna. Our condolences to you, your Mom, Hebb Jr. and all your loved ones.

Dear cousin Eleanor.
Hebb was such a remarkable loving, fine and hardworking husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather to you and to your children. So many years ago, when I was a young teen, I was so impressed with your special 'friend' that you introduced to all the family members. It was fun watching your love grow for each other into something quite wonderful, full of caring and laughter. God had His Plan for you both to be joined together, for life and I know that the fruit will continue to live on & on. May God continue to bless you and his family as you travel this road of loss. Sent with lots of love from the other 'Moan' side of your family back in B.C. Love from your cousin, Ev & Warren and family

Even though we worked at AC together for 30 years, I didn’t know Hebb until we met in Picton when he was here with the Yellow Wings about 10 years ago flying the Fleet Finch. It was a really fun few days as we got to compare notes about flying. My wife suggested we have all of the pilots out to the house for dinner which they gratefully accepted. It was an entertaining ,unforgettable evening. Very sorry to hear of his passing.
One side note. I did know and fly with Hebb’s Dad back in the ‘70s, B747. Interesting and enjoyable.

I flew with Hebb many flights that were all incredibly pleasurable. We laughed a lot, discussed world affairs but most of all I learned what makes for a great Captain.
One strong memory is us landing in Stephenville and Hebb practicing parking the B727 with the engines off before the spot; he excited it beautifully and we laughed a lot after.
I will miss him.

He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

My deepest condolences to Mr.Russels family and friends. Although he was my Grandfathers friend,I was privileged to know him a little bit. My best memory was at a winter fly in at Hawkesbury East airport, when I had driven up with my kids. Well,we wanted to fly back to Brian Bennett’s place but only 3 seats in the PA12,Mr.Russel offered to take my son,who got a thrill ride. Mr.Russel let my son take the controls and actually fly his Tailor craft as I was flying the PA12 (from the rear seat),although my son had flown before,he never got the chance to hold the controls,Mr.Russel gave him an amazing experience and life long memory. I will always cherish the memory of that day. It seems surreal to be writing this as I just saw Mr.Russel and Hebb jr a few months ago, getting out of a beautiful Red Classic Mustang. My condolences again,to all the family and friends who were privileged to know and love Mr.Russel.
