STEPHEN, (nee McNeil) Sarah Bernadette “Sadie”

Peacefully with her family by her side on Wednesday, September 1, 2021, at Barrhaven Manor, Sadie Stephen went to be with the Lord at the age of 88. Loving and devoted wife to the late Ted Stephen. Dearly loved mother of the late Bob (Jennifer), Mary (Alvin Bailey), Terry (Douglas) and Paul (Mary Ellen). Especially proud and cherished Nan of Jonathan (Erica), Matthew (Sara), Stephanie (Sabbi), Jaclyn (Matt), Sarah (Stephane), Samantha (Devin), Melissa, Alexandra, Stephen (Amanda), Amanda (Karim) and her great-grandchildren, Hazel, Cianna, Jayden, Finn, Nora, Thomas, Olivia, Leo, Gus, Owen & Henri. Predeceased by siblings Mary (Jimmy Walsh), Anna (Tony Volz), Kay (Danny Hogan) and Joe (Amanda) and Billy (Jean). A special thank you to Bootsie and Gabie, Bette and Eddie for their lifelong friendship. A thank you to Stephen & Kay for their continual care and concern for Sadie.

She will be missed by her morning McDonald's crew, the Local Heroes crew, and the many members of St. John the Apostle Parish. Sadie was a loyal member of the Catholic Women’s League. Her many pleasures in life included caring for others as a nurse, her strong devotion to her faith, playing cards, cooking & baking, and the odd trip to the casino, but nothing gave her more enjoyment and pleasure than time with her family, the dinners they shared together, the memories they made and the love that they all have for each other.
