It is a moving memory of gratitude to write this and recall the youthful-years in Forest Hills, Saint John, visiting and playing at the Stephen household. An intentional bonding of cousins and family was, and is an insightful plan from our Aunts and Uncles.
The hospitality from “Aunt” Sadie and “Uncle” Ted then, and the welcomes years later from the family while traveling through Ottawa, was timeless, regardless of the gap in years. Thank you for showing me how it is done!

We send our love and condolences to all.

Aunt Sadie was one of a kind. Her door was always open and she always had your favourite food ready when you arrived and enough to feed the neighborhood!! We always felt so welcome and will fondly remember her infectious laugh and great storytelling. We will sure miss her. Thoughts and prayers to the family - wish we could be there.

Beloved Terry & Douglas, Mary & Al, Paul & Mary Ellen, Jennifer, and all other family members:
It is with an aching heart that I write this little message of sincere condolences to you all. Our beloved Sadie has gone to be with Our Lord, whom she loved and served her entire life, and with her darling Ted and Bobby. We will surely miss her, as we do Ted and Bobby. Many a delicious meal cooked by her I enjoyed in the Stephen home. On one occasion, I told Sadie: "I have never peeled so many potatoes for ONE family meal in my life as I am doing to help you to prepare the meal for this family gathering!" She laughed. Sadie was a wonderful woman of Faith, as was Ted. She and Ted are now beginning the next phase of their lives---Eternal Life! We will miss her deeply. Rest in Peace, dear Sadie. I hope you, Ted, Bobby, Dadda Joe & Aunt Mary, George & Anne Campbell, and my Rick are enjoying one another's company in Heaven. Love you all dearly! Love, Norma Anne
