It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Basil McFadden of Navan at the Ottawa General Hospital on Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at 90 years old. Beloved husband of 64 years to Doreen (Ledger). Loving father of Gordon (Lucille) of Navan, Peggy Wilkes (Kenneth) of Fournier, Colleen, Michael (Suzanne) and Terrence (Jodi) all of Navan. Dear brother of Inez Simpson (late John) of Ingleside and Eileen Vaillancourt (late Robert) of Navan. Proud grandfather "Bubba" of Travis (Charlene), Sara, Devyn (Alanah), Leigh-Ann (Sean), Hannah (Philip), Andrew (Raegan), Lydia and Charlie and great grandfather to Delilah, Cole, Maverick and Aubrey. Predeceased by his parents Charles and Annie (Cork), his brothers Cecil, Ken, William and his sister Lois , also predeceased by his grandson Tyler.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Graveside Service on Friday, August 6th, at 11:00 am at St Mary’s Anglican Church Cemetery, 3641 Trim Road at Delson Drive, Navan, Ontario. Following the service, A Celebration of Basil's Life will take place at the family farm.
