Sending my most heartfelt condolences to the McFadden family at this sad time. I have so many wonderful memories of Basil from when our families would get together. I always loved his humorous approach to life; he had a joke in his pocket for every occasion and always made me laugh. I loved it when he was our bus driver for school field trips! I will always remember that summer in Nova Scotia, staying up late laughing and playing cards, especially Hockey. Basil will be greatly missed and forever remembered. Sending big hugs to you all!

I always enjoyed talking to Basil. He use to poke fun at my (very) British accent. And he loved to tell me that his mother was from Norfolk. I remember him as a very gentle person who was always ready to share a joke or have a bit of fun.
