Condolences
Our deepest condolences to the MacMillan's family. We were only neighbours for a short period of time but Robert was always working outside with a big smile on his face. The few times we've spoken he always had good stories to share. The neighbours told us that if we needed anything or help, Robert was the man. He was always willing to help others. We would see him cutting neighbours firewood all day and he always seemed to enjoy it. We know Robert will me missed by his family, friends, hunting family and neighbours.
Sorry for your loss,
Francis & Myriam
The first of my wonderful cousins to leave this earth for the next adventure. So sad for cousins Kyle, Carol, Lynn, Evelyn and all close family and friends. I remember my adventurous and unique cousin Bobby from my family visits to the farm when I was young. Living in Vancouver I had not seen him in a long time but valued our visits when we did gather. He was a loyal and generous person. So long my other Bobby MacMillan. Love Linda MacMillan

I have many fond memories of Robert one in particular
Robert saw me driving my school van one snowy blistery
Day, plowing my way through the sixth conc trying to make it to Hwy 34. On my return home that day, he went ahead of me with the snow plow. And from that day forward he always ensured that I made my trip to and from safely. Another memory is our cross country skiing days where he kept the home fires burning hot( we called him Central Control Center) and he would wait for our return to visit Rest In Peace Robert May these happy memories bring comfort love Cynthia
So sad to hear about Roberts passing. I spoke to him about 6 weeks ago as he was splitting wood with his John Deere Tractor as it was always not far from him. Robert spent many a time with my Uncle Rene Taillon and they will certainly have lots of conversations about dear hunting and cutting wood. Robert was a good friend and I express my sympathies to Lynn , Kyle and Evelyn. We will meet again Robert.

So sorry to hear of Robert's sudden passing. My sympathies to you. May the wonderful memories of the life you shared with him and the respect he had in our community give you peace and comfort at this time. Robert was a great neighbour. He was always willing to help on the farm and was the most reliable tractor operator around. He was often called to help with cultivating, putting out manure or just general farm work. Many Sunday mornings he dropped by driving his four wheeler and he was just at the farm last Sunday to see Hughie. I will miss his visits and stories. He had an opinion on every subject and you never had to worry about carrying the conversation. I loved talking to him about politics. I always thought he would make a great mayor because of his common sense approach to life. In fact I think he was the Mayor of Laggan. He will be missed and I will think of him often when I pass by the homestead on the 8th. Phyllis MacMaster

Ptow thanks for the stories you have shared with me in the last few years that I have known you. Hauling out of Blairs Quarry in the last week I was glad you came for a ride with me last Tuesday as you usually do every year. It was hard for me to look over at the passenger seat knowing you were the last one to sit in it. I will miss our conversations with sadness. We waved at each other on Thursday not knowing what was to follow. Condolences to the McMillan family, RIP my friend till me meet again, Brent Morrison

Our sincere condolences to you Kyle and your family, during this very hard Time. This poem reminds me of how you described your brother.
Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there; I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sun on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there; I did not die.
Kyle, Evelyn, Lynn and families! I am so sorry to hear of Robert’s passing! Your memories of him will always keep him alive in your hearts!
