A private family farewell will be held
Condolences
To all the girls and uncle Gerry, you’ll feel like you are carrying a big rock around in your chest right now, after a while though of great memories and legendary stories lapping like waves around it, the rock turns into a precious stone, always there and never forgotten, but a lot easier to carry.
God bless Aunty Betty - a Scottish Rose on the end of a thistle.
Our deepest condolences.

Auntie Betty, what can I say? Not sure I could even begin to cover everything. First of all, myself, Mark and little Thea and Noah are thinking about you and all the family over the water. Such an amazing, kind and super special human being has been lost, but you are in a better place now. I'll never ever forget all those times you and Uncle Gerry took me in to your home, your family, and all the special memories we shared over in Canada and in Scotland. My heart breaks for Uncle Gerry and the girls, hubbies and little cousins but I know they will feel some peace knowing you are up there with Granny Jenny, Uncle Jim and the rest of your precious family. Me and the family in Scotland wish so much for it to be possible to say goodbye in person, but you know us, you will always be in our thoughts, our hearts, we will never forget! Can't express how much we love you and the family. I like to think by keeping up the visits to and forth with the younger generation between Canada and Scotland is in some way keeping your memory and the Fauteux/Duffy/McAleenan link alive to us all!! Sleep well Auntie Betty. Until we meet again xxxxx

Liz- so sorry to learn of your Mum’s passing. Thinking of you and your family in your time of loss.
Dear Liz,
May you always be able to recall your mum's laughter. When you introduced me to your parents in Hawkesbury all those years ago, I was struck by how at ease your mum made me feel. It was probably a combination of her accent, her teasing sayings and her twinkling eyes.
Thinking of you and your dad. I'm here for you for absolutely anything.
Sending you heartfelt, virtual hugs for now, to be replaced by the real deal when we next see one another.
Lise
There's goes our everything indeed...
I am having a hard time finding the appropriate words to express how sad both Dad and I feel about your loss. Bettie was my second Mom, and I loved her so very much. I will miss hearing her affectionately call me 'hen'. My Dad will miss singing and laughing with his precious buddy. They made such sweet music together and I'm so glad I videoed their performances. Bettie always made me feel like I could do anything and she always made me feel like a million bucks. How blessed all of you daughters (and grandchildren) are to have had a mom like her. How blessed dear Gerry is to have spent so many years with the love of his life. She is at peace now. And those beautiful blue eyes and warm smile will remain in our hearts forever.
Dear Liz,
I am deeply sorry to hear that your mum passed away. She leaves you and your family with so much love and the best souvenirs. I will never forget the story you told me about your parents' dating where your mom didn't speak French and your dad didn't speak English. Don and I offer you our deepest sympathies. See you soon. With love, Andrée

Patrick & Patricia, David, Ryan, Patrick Junior and Collette send our thoughts & prayers.'..
I am so sorry to hear of your Mom’s passing. She was twice the roommate in hospital of my late mother, Minerva, who passed on just the week before. I was immediately entranced with your Mom the first time we met. I could feel the warmth emanating from her. I was so very pleased to find her again placed in the same room with my Mother. I met two of her devoted daughters, Liz and Yvette, and could see for myself the kind of mother you must have had growing up. The words in the obituary are very moving. It is so well written. All my sincere condolences in the passing of this lovely lady. Beverley Greeley

God Bless in this most difficult time. Hugs to all!
So sorry for your lost Yvette wishing you & your family my deepest sympathies
I was lucky to spend a week’s holiday with auntie Betty and her beautiful family in recent years and although I’m not family by blood, I became a family member to them in an instant. A family as welcoming, loving and giving as this one, is steered by an amazing woman and that’s exactly what she was and always will be. I have never been kissed and cuddled so much in a week in my life! I have a precious gift she gave me, precious memories and photos and videos which I’ll treasure forever. Sleep tight aunt Betty - SCOTLAND!!
