Obituary of Lowell O. Smith

SMITH, Lowell Oliver February 2, 1925 - October 10, 2013 WWII Veteran - Private Peacefully at the Hawkesbury General Hospital on Thursday October 10, 2013 Lowell Smith of St-Eugène passed away in his 89th year with his beloved wife Joan Labre of 56 years by his side. Loving father of Russell, Caroline (Mario Froment), Donna (J.Charles Ranger), Bruce and of the late Karl. Adored grandfather of Christopher (Chantelle), Amanda, Kayla, Jessica (Peter), Philippe (Mélissa), Marc, Samantha, and Dalton. Dearly loved great-grandfather of Dylan, Hailey, Benjamin, Myles, Nikkolas and Oliver. He also leaves to mourn his sisters Harriett Lockyer, Reta MacCormack, and Lillian Thompson along with many cousins, nieces, nephews, sisters-in-laws, brothers-in-laws and friends. Predeceased by his parents Thomas and Mary (Lowe) of Navan, his sister Edith, and brothers Orville, Charles, Percy, Garrett, George and William. He lived a full life farming and driving trucks for Smith Transport, Taggart Service and Bertrand & Frères. At Lowell's request there will be no visitation or service.
