Stanley, my deepest sympathy on the loss of your brother.I know he will be missed by many. Uncle Alex and Alex shared some good times & memories together at the MacDonald Residence in Vankleek Hill. They were very close and Uncle Alex will miss him dearly. I hope he can attend the funeral today. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and the family. My sympathies to the family and friends of Mr. McRae. I first got to know Mr. McRae years ago, when we would catch up once every year when I canvassed for the Canadian Cancer Society. I would knock on his door when he lived in the Old Orange Lodge on Union Street and get an invitation to come in and sit down. When you go door to door asking for donations, such is not always the case. His home was always cozy, with the stove going and we would have a short chat. He somehow made me feel connected to a gentler time. And all this, from one short visit per year with this softspoken, kind man.
