Cath and Charlie have been there for every part of my life. When we lived in Vankleek Hill they were always just up the road and involved in everything we did. I have such fond memories of growing up with them always around. Playing at their house with their grandaughter Janet with the special stuffed horse we all loved. Every spring was so fun at their house with the daffodils sprouting all over their grass. After we moved to BC there were great visits both in VKH and out here. She will be missed and remembered always...
Cath and Charlie Macfadyen were great friends since the mid 60's - we had wonderful times together! Had good visits with Cath when I was in Hawkesbury/Vankleek Hill in past year visits until she was moved to Ottawa. So many great memories over the years! Lachlan please e-mail me - would be nice to stay in touch! Sending love, hugs and sincere condolences to the Macfadyen family on the loss of a very special person and friend! Adona and family
We have known Cath and Charlie for over 50 years - loved our discussions on politics and religion! It did get rather heated at moments, but we always parted as really good friends. Cath had an amazing memory and could quote verse after verse of various poets and authors that she knew. Cath was a Scottish Country Dancer and in fact encouraged us to take it up and we have continued for many years. Cath was one of the founders of Prescott Players, a local acting group that performed in Hawkesbury for decades. We both acted and took part in that wonderful group! She was a great lady, a strong Christian and a dear friend! We will miss her, but look forward to a great reunion in heaven with Jesus and the holy angels. Journeying mercies dear friend - with much love Grace and Rev. Robert Graham
