Obituary of Alice Pearl Brooks
Brooks (nee Fulton), Alice Pearl
On Friday March 6, 3 days short of her 95th Birthday, Alice passed away in Vankleek Hill, Ontario. She began her life on Green Lane, where her father was a cheese maker. She returned to Vankleek Hill for her final months of life after working and raising her family in Montreal and retiring to Laggan Road in 1974 with her husband Jimmy and then to Ghislain St in Hawkesbury. She was a devoted wife, mother and friend. She loved her family and friends deeply and always worked diligently to better the lives of those around her.. She will be remembered for her laughter, her kindness, her cooking, her religious devotion, her love of nature, and her fun and creative parties. She will be well remembered for her high-spirited character and story-telling. She was a dedicated member of the Hawkesbury East Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses, and thoroughly enjoyed the companionship and knowledge she acquired over the many years in the congregation.
The family thanks Heritage Lodge for their kindness to Alice during her time there and to the loving and kind caregivers who worked so hard to ease her final months. She will be deeply missed, but impossible to forget.
