Our thoughts are with all of you at this time, may your mom rest in peace... God Bless
I remember going to Lynda's house during the week; Mrs. Riendeau would love to play Bingo, and when she would leave, all of us girls would get together to watch "The Little House on the Prairie"! I remember her with fond memories as she would never mind who would drop by her house!
Our deepest sympathies to you Lynda, Wayne and family. From Dawn and Mike MacDuff and family
Our deepest sympathy to all of you
Condolences to Alan,Lynda,Dan. R.I.P.Muriel
So sorry to hear about mom, she was one of a kind she treated all of us like her own growing up and welcomed us into her home on a daily basis and kept us in smokes when needed she rocked . My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
Lynda, Paul and I passed the Vankleek Hill sign on our way back from Gatineau yesterday and we talked about George and Danny, and me babysitting you when I was in high school and how your Mum and mine became close friends and your Mum still looked out for mine when she was going through a rough time. We were both wondering how she was doing, so quite a shock to see your post...I am sorry for your loss my condolences to you and your family.
Just living doors away on Orchard St. I first became acquainted with Alan. We hung out in the same crowds for awhile. But the real mischief started when my brother George started sneaking out of the house in diapers to wonder down to visit Danny. Over the next couple of years we got to know your parents quite well.........as the boys became inseparable and were always looking for new adventures.
Later on, when both our mothers were widows Muriel moved in with my mother and they kept each other company. Many a night I would pop in and they would be downstairs playing cards or chatting. My mother passed a number of years ago...........so they will have a lot of catching up to do.
lynda and family please except our sincere condolences, may god give you the strength to get through this ruff time ! fay and les xoxox

Im sorry for your lost Lynda and want to to say she will be missed
woodsie and i were remembering how your mom would poke her head out the front door on orchard and holler for danny to go to the store for her ,well he would always run away and then she would catch any one of us and ask us , well usually we knew what was up and we'd scoot away . well it seemed it was always guinnepig that would turn around and go to vics for her pepsi and other stuff . i will always see mad muriel in my thoughts and remember her as a great mom who did the best she could under difficult times . mrs. riendeau join mr. riendeau in peace and harmony .
There is a story behind the smile in that photo. It was her 74th birthday and she was not pleased with that fact. So mom took matters into her own hands and switched the seven and the four, making her 47. As you can tell by the photo she was very pleased with herself.
Once when I was around 3 our family decided to take a trip down to Lake George. My father driving, my mother in the passeneger seat and of course Nanny in the back seat keeping the children company. When the sun began to go down and the unfamilir woods took on a new menacing look my three year old mind raced with fears of which the formost was the bears.... as it got darker and darker I got more and more afarid Nanny was there to calm me down hug me and tell me everything was going to be ok. 17 years later she was still reminding me about the time she protected me from the bears.
