Denis and family....I was very saddened to learn of Mr. Martin's death. He was respected throughout the countryside for his contributions to the community. He and the gas station were a pillar & cornerstone of the town. He and my father were close friends througout their lives. Our family had the highest regard & respect for Mr Martin. He will be sadly missed by us. Our sincere and sad condolences to you Deni and to your family.

I grew up at a time when he operated the "other gas station".I always had the greatest respect for him in his business life, and especially for his character. He represented essential services for the community and to the community. He will forever live in the hearts of those of us who knew him.
