Obituary of Gilles Hector Trottier

Trottier, Gilles Peacefully after a long battle with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy at the Prescott Russell Residence on Wednesday May 18, 2016 Gilles Trottier of Vankleek Hill passed away at the age of 68. Predeceased by his parents Jules Trottier and Gracia Joanisse. Beloved husband of 46 years to Linda (née Ward). Proud and loving father of his 3 daughters; Christine Miner (Marc), Angela Henderickx (Benoit) and Véronique (Liam Hennebury). Much loved Poppa of Shayla, Alexandre, Zacharie, Alexandre, Kaelyn, Dominic, Cade and Didier. Dear brother of Thérèse Brazeau, Georgine Labelle, Jacqueline Duval (Germain), Liette (Jacques Dicaire), Murielle Trottier and Jean-Claude Trottier (Ghislaine). Fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews. Despite Gilles being physically affected the last few years of his life the family will always remember him for his wonderful passion, love and devotion towards his family. Relatives and friends may visit at Hillcrest Funeral Home 151 Bond Street, Vankleek Hill on Monday May 23, 2016 from 7 to 9 pm. Mass of Christian Funeral will be held on Tuesday May 24,2016 at 11 am at St-Grégoire-de-Naziance, 137 Higginson Street, Vankleek Hill. Interment will be held at later date at St- Grégoire Cemetery, Vankleek Hill. In memory of Gilles, a donation to the Prescott Russell Residence Foundation 1020 Cartier Boulevard Hawkesbury, Ontario K6A 1W7 or the Parkinson Society for Progressive Supranuclear Palsy, 1-200 Colonnade Road South Ottawa, Ontario K2E 7M1 would be appreciated by the family.
