I WAS SAD FOR A LONG TIME AFTER HUGHIE had his accident. It was not fair for a young man
It has been 6 years now since you found peace and I still miss you every day. You are still such a huge part of my life and I think of you all the time. We had such fun times and so much laughter. I love you. xxoo
I am very saddened to learn of Hughie’s death. We were neighbours on Thorne Street and a nicer ,funnier guy would be hard to find. Both he and Lise were so kind to everyone. He absolutely adored Allan and so did my husband , Jack . Allan would spend a lot of time with him whenever Jack was puttering in the yard. Hughie was a huge Ottawa football fan and we joined him one time to watch the Grey Cup with John Crncich who was a huge Montreal fan. Theses two teams were in the Grey Cup and I recall Hughie ,with his remote, flipped off the TV when Montreal was going for a touchdown!! Pretty funny! I understand Lise is also gone. They were a sweet couple. We left Hawkesbury in 1982 when the mill closed, it was a very difficult time for us. Life goes on, Jack is gone ,too. Enjoy every moment you have with your loved ones, Allan. God bless!
He married the love of his life and had a son they were both so very proud of and loved so very much. Allan trust me when I say they could never have been more proud of you or the wife you have. Jennifer they loved you like a daughter and spoke so highly of you too.
Great pic with another niece he loved very much. Such a beautiful lady Janie.
Such a big, proud smile on Uncle Highies face that Auntie Lise was driving his van all around town. We are all so proud of her! They were picking us up for some Jo's Patates under the bridge!
Terry and I took Auntie Lise and Uncle Hughie, mom and dad out for my mom and dads 60th wedding anniversary! Nice meal, great music at Le Vieulx Chateau.
Mom, dad, Uncle Hughie, Auntie Lise and me all went to see Engelbert Humperdinck at the National Arts Center in Ottawa. Great concert and so much fun! I stayed with Auntie Lise and Uncle Hughie for 2 months during her treatments in Ottawa, and this was a really nice break, a nice fun night out together.
This is the gang all grown up! This is the last time we will all be together! Christmas 2011. Growing up we were all always together with Booby (my grandmother). Such great memories!
