Condolences
I remember when I arrived at Emerson's and Phyllyis' farm as a young wide eyed teenager eager to live in the country and do all the fun things like "make hay" .I had no idea what that was but it sounded like a ball to me.They showed me it was lots of fun! One day we were walking to the dairy past the corn crib with young Sterling, he was about 4 yrs old and I asked what is that big cage for? Sterling looked at me as if I had 3 heads and couldn't believe someone couldn't possibly know what that was .what a laugh. There were many more laughs had and memories made that summer.I miss you both.and am so glad to have had a chance to say good bye and thank-you before you left us. rip Phyllis.

I am Bruce McCaskill youngest, Heidi McCaskill.
Every two or so year our family would head out to Ontario from Saskatchewan to see the family.
I remember one summer Auntie Phyllis was excited to take my brothers and me to the local fair. We did the bumper cars and tons of rides. I am not too sure who was the bigger kid, Auntie Phyllis or us... I think she might have won!
When we did go to Phyllis home, she would make sure we were full of sugar as she didn't get the chance to spoil us all the time.
My older 2 brothers, Scott and Brian, tell stories about how Sterling and them would riding the toboggan from the top Auntie Phyllis stair case and out the front door into the snow and Phyllis would just laugh.
I would talk to Phyllis here and there on the phone and you could hear how proud she was of Sterling and the grandchildren.
All my love to all the family and friends, sorry I cannot be there to celebrate Phyllis life with everyone.
Best to all
Heidi McCaskill
