Edouard "Ted" Goyer of Alexandria passed away peacefully at his farm on Friday, November 15, 2024, at the age of 76, after a valiant battle with Parkinson’s. He was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Evelyn Goyer.Ted was the devoted and loving spouse of Raleen (née Lyons), his best friend and partner in life. He was the cherished father of Ian (Virginie) and Daniel, and the proud grandfather of Edouard and Alice. Ted will also be dearly missed by his sisters Angela (André), Lynne (Jean-Paul), and Claire (Normand). He was predeceased by his brother Lucien and will be remembered fondly by his nieces and nephews.
Ted dedicated over 30 years of his life to the Peter Hall School, where he made significant contributions and positively impacted countless lives. His kindness, wisdom, and unwavering dedication left a lasting legacy that will not be forgotten.
In 2001, Ted and Raleen moved to Alexandria, where he enjoyed a fulfilling retirement on their beloved farm, spending time reading and playing golf.
In accordance with Ted’s wishes, a private family service will be held.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Ted’s memory can be made to the Peter Hall School Foundation.
A Tree of Remembrance for Ted will be planted at the McAlpine Forever Forest in Vankleek Hill, symbolizing the enduring impact of his life.
