Danny & I had been friends since 1969 in High School at VCI in Vankleek Hill. He, Bruce MacLaurin & I all had a love of motorcycles, guitars & the same music. Danny & I lived together for more than 2 years in our early 20s & you really get to know a person when you do that. He was a kind, funny, fun loving, introspective, hard working guy who would help anyone he could if asked. Especially his friends. The tshirt in this picture is from when I convinced him to come to a Harley-Davidson Owners Group rally in Kingston in 1992. We got absolutely soaked on the way & drove through sewer construction in Brockville so we were filthy as well. It was a great weekend! He loved his Harley-Davidson, just didn't drive it enough. Dan was quiet in his ways yet easy to have a good conversation with. He was a ravenous reader of novels, the newspaper everyday & music magazines. Extremely well read! He loved & cared wonderfully for his Mom & she never had to worry about him being there to help her, he just was. I could go on & on about Danny at length, our great times in the hotels of the region, playing guitar at 2 in the morning at Carillon Dam Park just because, eating a lot of Kraft Dinner because it was 10 for a dollar, etc. I'll miss him a ton no, more than that. He was one of my Best friends & Best friends are hard to come by. I'll see you later Dan. Make sure you have some guitars to play & Harleys to ride waiting.
