MacCrimmon, Mary Roberta “ Bertie”
February 14,1914- September 27,2015
Peacefully on Sunday September 27th 2015 at the Maxville Manor, Bertie MacCrimmon (née MacKinnon) at the wonderful age of 101, with grace and dignity just as she lived her life. Beloved wife of the late Stanford MacCrimmon. Dear daughter of the late Wallace and Christina MacKinnon. Cherished mother of Robert (Andrene), Elizabeth Bracken (Gordon) and Ruth Munroe (Dean). Adored by her grandchildren, Jeffrey Bracken (Courtney Bradley), Erinn McKenzie (Stuart), Ainsley McMaster (Scott), Kathryn Fawthrop (Jamie), Wendy MacCrimmon (Chris) and Caroline MacCrimmon. She loved and stayed close to her ten great-grandchildren, always keenly interested in their activities and achievements. Survived by her sisters Marjorie Kelly (Don) and Mae Shepherd (late George). Predeceased by her siblings, Elizabeth Culpepper (late Les) and Wallace “Bud” MacKinnon (late Marjorie). She will be missed by her many nieces, nephews and friends. Bertie was dedicated to her family, church and community. She will always be remembered for her intelligence, warmth and hospitality. Special thanks to the staff at Maxville Manor for their excellent care and support. We have been truly blessed to call her Mother. Friends may visit at the Kenyon Presbyterian Church 1630 County Road 30, Dunvegan on Saturday October 3,2015 from 12 noon
followed by a Funeral Service at 1 pm. Interment Kenyon Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Dunvegan. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory to the Maxville Manor 80 Mechanic Street West, Maxville, Ontario K0C 1T0 or Kenyon Presbyterian Church 1630 County Road 30 Dunvegan, Ontario K0C 1J0 would be appreciated.
