Obituary of William MacKinnon

With great sadness, we announce the peaceful passing of William MacKinnon on Tuesday, June 18, 2024 in Maxville, ON. William will be forever remembered by his devoted wife Alice, his daughter Cindy (Eric), his son Don (Marlene), and his five beloved grandchildren: Eric (Corina), Crystal (Frank), Cassandra (Simon), Chad (Emilie), and Spencer. He also leaves behind his great-grandchildren, Dillin and Rylynn.

He was predeceased by his brothers Jack (the late Sadie), Albert (the late Caryl), Hughie and Ross (the late Ivy), and his sisters Wilma (the late Gregory) and Stella (the late John). He will be remembered with love by his sister-in-law Lorraine (the late Alain) and also by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends whose lives he touched deeply.

Throughout his life, William found great fulfillment in farming and was known for his passion and dedication to the land. He also served his community as a longtime custodian at PCPS and loved his role as a school bus driver.

In respect of William's wishes, a private family service will be held, followed by interment at Cassburn Cemetery. For those who wish to honour William's memory, donations can be made to the CHEO Foundation. The family extends heartfelt thanks to the Maxville Manor for their exceptional care and support.

A Tree of Remembrance will be planted in the McAlpine Forever Forest in Vankleek Hill in loving tribute to William.
