Our sympathy to the MacLaurin family,
We were blessed that our paths crossed in various ways over the years . In later years we enjoyed chatting with Lilias at Heritage Lodge and at The Seniors Luncheons. Her kind, quiet manner and words of wisdom made her a special lady .

Deepest sympathies to the MacLaurin family. Many fond memories of her time living beside me, often sharing a cup of tea and a dessert. The gift of knowledge she gave so many students, including my daughter was priceless.
I remember Mrs. MacLaurin so fondly. I struggled with math in high school, and after finding little help or encouragement through my school teacher, my mother heard of Lilias through word of mouth, and I began to see her once a week. I went from a final grade of 40 in grade 10 math, to an 87 final grade the following year. I know this was due to her patience, kindness, grace, and love of teaching. That $12 a week was the best investment into my learning. She had a lasting impact on my life, and she taught me that a GOOD teacher can change someone’s life. What a beautiful woman. May she Rest In Peace; she deserves it! God bless her and all her family that miss her.
