Obituary of Ross MacGillivray
Peacefully on Friday, January 12, 2024 at the Glengarry Memorial Hospital Ross MacGillivray of Dalkeith passed away at the age of 74. He was the loving brother of Barbara (Lyle Howes) and Nancy (Robert MacDonald) and a much-loved uncle to Mark, Lindsey (Steve McDonell) Bethany (Rob Heffernan), Brian Cloutier (Roxanne), and great uncle to Wesley.
Ross spent his entire life as a cash crop farmer and custom work operator and was often called upon to offer his advice on how to till land or what to plant. He was a competitive plow judge and judged many matches, including the International Plowing Match and local matches.
For many years, Ross served as a snow plow operator on Highway 417 and at the Ottawa International Airport.
A Service will be held on Saturday May 4th 2024 at 11 a.m. at the East Hawkesbury United Church Cemetery in St-Anne-de-Prescott Ontario.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to Dr. Marleau, Dr. Sharda, the doctors and staff at the Glengarry Memorial Hospital, and the Ottawa General Cancer Clinic for their kindness and exceptional care.
A Tree of Remembrance for Ross will be planted in the McAlpine Forever Forest , Vankleek Hill.
