Bruce was one of the kindest gentlemen I have ever met. I got to know him more in the last few years as he stopped to chat and encourage me in his own delightful way. I enjoyed his company if only briefly and will miss him on the sidewalks of Vankleek Hill. He worked with my uncle Thomas at NORDA and to this day some everyday smells conjure up memories of pepper and other sweet spices that take me back to the many people who worked there.

To start, we would like to offer our most deepest condolences to Bobbi, the boys and their families, to Garry and his sisters. To talk about Bruce could take pages but to talk about the great man he was , would take a full book. When I worked at the Daycare, Bruce would drop in for his annual visits and whenever I had questions regarding safety issues, We had good discussions and mostly good laughs. He was always eager to help and make sure everything was up to code. If he made an impact in your life, you were a very lucky person. Hope that all of the people up there are ready for you as I am sure you will have lots to say. Bon voyage Bruce !
Our condolences to the whole Barton family, we are thinking of you guys. He was such a nice man I always loved chatting with him and his chuckle at the stories.

My sincere condolences to the Barton family. I went through VCI with Bruce but never had much conversation with him. Never the less, he always had time for a smile and you felt that it was friendly and sincere. I did not see him for many years but when he heard that I had moved to Vankleek Hill, he took it upon himself to walk down my street until such time that I was out shoveling snow and recognized him and called out "Hey Bruce". We were happy to talk to each other. He was one of those people that you felt comfortable talking to. and he usually had a joke to relate as he strolled away. The community has certainly lost one of its finest members.
Bruce always with a huge smile...warm hug and a friendly hello
My deepest condolences to Bobbie and the family...such a loving family
