Condolences
I did work as a psw at heritage lodge when he fist cane in.. he was such a kind man, ill never forget our talks. RIP
I am sad to hear of Dean’s passing, the loss of a good person: a husband, father and grandfather. Dear, Ann, Bobby, Sean, Lisa, Austin: I am so sorry. My brother, Wilfred and sisters-in-law (Jeannette and Bernadette) have been remembering Dean and sharing memories. Dean was joy and delight to us; We loved his wonderful stories and that great sense of humour. We will love and miss him forever. Dear Harkin family may the days ahead quietly bring healing and peace.

I was married to Hubert James Ryan, now deceased, who was Dean's cousin. We used to visit the Harkins, in Vankleek Hill.
It was always pleasant to meet Dean's mother, Ada, his wife, Ann and the three children, Robert, Sean and Lisa.
Dean was a very intelligent person who enjoyed a good conversation on any topic. He was kind, generous, very witty, and with a great sense of humour. I was sad to hear that he passed away. He will be missed.
My deepest condolences to Ann, Robert, Sean and Lisa.
I would like to send my condolences to the Harkin Family. As a neighbour I got to know Dean very well. There were times when he needed help and I was glad that I could walk across the street and give him help or support. I noticed that he was not enjoying the warm weather and was not on the front porch as he had so many times before. Dean will be missed by his neighbours he always had someone stopping to visit. I too will miss seeing him on the porch and I will always remember his big smile when I dropped off a meal for him or some dessert. I wish him eternal peace and I send my prayers to all those who knew and loved Dean..
Our deepest condolences to Annie, Lisa, Shawn, Bobby and family.

Mr.Harkin was such a lovely man.. aways so friendly and sweet when we would chat. I shall always remember him driving around town with his dogs. My deepest sympathies to the family.
My deepest condolences to the Harkin family. I had the absolute pleasure of working with Dean during his last years at Cruickshank. Many customers still ask about Dean. He was an amazing truck driver and took so much pride in his work. I will miss his phone calls at Christmas time requesting a load of sand for his camels. My thoughts and prayers are with his family. RIP Pappy Joe.
Our sincere condolences to the Harkin family.❤️

Condolences to the Harkin family of Vankleek Hill on the loss of Dean. I have great memories of many long chats I had with Dean when I was a young man working at the Liddycoat Funeral Home accross from the Harkin residence on High Street. Dean always took the time to chat and tell a story or 4. His friendliness and kindness will always be remembered. Thinking of you during this difficult time.

Our sincere sympathy to Annie, Robert, Shawn and Lisa , family and friends upon the loss of Dean.
May he rest in peace and may his memory be a blessing.
Our deepest condolences to Ann, Robert (Bobbie), Shawn & Lisa & the many friends . We will miss the visits & hours spent chatting on the verandah where
Dean could tell unlimited stories & jokes. His sense of humor was endearing to
so many who knew him & spent time with him over the years. He was a great Historian and knew the History of Vankleek Hill & its people from years gone by and up to current times. He was a man who had worked hard, with good work ethics as a Trucker for Cruickshank Ltd for much of life. He loved his Home of Vankleek Hill where he had grown up as a boy & watched it develop over the years with pride. Reast in Peace in the arms of our Heavenly Father Dean where there is no more pain, or worries.
