Obituary of Irene McBain

McBain, Irene (Née Seguin) Peacefully after a brief illness with her family by her side, Irene McBain of Hawkesbury passed away at the Promenade Retirement Residence, Orleans, Ontario at the age of 86. Beloved wife of the late Gerald McBain. Loving mother of Patricia (Jean Jacques Demers) of Hawkesbury, Gerald Jr. (Ginette Caron) of Cornwall, Helen (George McDonald) and Phyllis (Frank Greenwell) all of Orleans. Cherished grandmother of Marc, Jennifer, Jason, Brock, Bryce, Trenton, Warren and Alyssa. Great grandmother of Maisie, Aeden, Calista, Morgan and Emma. Predeceased by her parents Alphonse and Marie Seguin and her brother Fred. Friends may visit at the Hillcrest Funeral Home 151 Bond Street, Vankleek Hill on Friday June 12th, 2015 from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. Mass of Christian Funeral will be celebrated at St. Jude’s Catholic Church 372 Genevieve Street, Hawkesbury on Saturday June 13th, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. Interment St. Anthony’s Parish Cemetery, Apple Hill, Ontario. Irene’s family wishes to thank Dr. Daigneault, the staff at The Promenade Retirement Residence, CCAC and Champlain Regional Palliative Consultation Team for their compassion, care and special attention. A special thank you to all of her friends at the Residence for their support.
