"Hello, everyone:
How are you today? I did a volunteer gig with Mr. Corbeil, a Venue Technical Director, and thought there were two sides to him. In addition, I don't know if Luc was a Quebecker, but if I ever go back to 'la belle province,' I intend to thank your veterans for having helped us fight Hitler. (It's because I didn't do that task the first time I was there.) Finally, I'm sorry to hear that you've left us, Mr. Corbeil, and hope to see you at Valhalla."

I’m sitting at the Folk Festival evening stage. A friend passed me this year’s program and I got as far as page 5. Then I dissolved into tears reading of Luc’s passing. He was one of those Folk Festival relationships that brings me joy every year, that I only saw at Folk Fest. I don’t recall how long I’ve seen Luc here but I think since the 1990’s when I was a pre-Festival security volunteer and he was Site Crew. Every year I saw him it was a friendly reunion. He was so handsome on his motorbike! And helpful if I needed anything. A few years ago I was lead on a new committee, Decorating. We hung out a few old tshirts for one display and the next day Luc brought every single one of his probably 30 tshirts and strung them up near Tool Town like an art exhibition. He was a gem. I’m still crying. Miss you here today Luc!
My deepest condolences to you all: Pierre, Nathalie, Maripier & Marc, Sophie, Hugo. Luc meant so much to so many, his passing will leave a large void. I am comforted he was able to be with family when he passed, he spoke so fondly of you all. May he rest in peace.
