Condolences
Barbara was a wonderful friend and neighbour, always ready to give a helping hand. Will be sorely missed. My condolences to the family.
A Tree of Remembrance was planted in the McAlpine Forever Forest by Mark and Lisa Henderson and the staff of Hillcrest Funeral Home.
To Karen and family, sending love and light to you all. “My memories as a confused teen trying to understand where I fit in were lightened by little chats that made me realize I had choices.” Barbara inspired me.
We were so sorry to hear yesterday (12th) of your mother’s passing. She was a wonderful and very talented woman. Remember admiring the lovely fresco she’d painted around the staff room walls at Pleasant Corners, how she willingly helped with the crafts at D.V.B.S. and led a local prayer group. She was special to many people and we know you will miss her terribly. Just know that her strong faith made an impact for good on many lives.

Barbara was beautiful inside and out - Words to describe Barbara -- caring, kind, calming, interesting, well read, gentle, intelligent, beautiful smile, plus many more - Her faith was strong and her words wise - I am sure everyone who knew Barbara holds many wonderful memories of her - Take care and know she will be missed
Sincere heartfelt condolences on the passing of your mum. Many childhood memories driving to the cottage in the Volks with her, her joy of life, her laughter and her smile . May all the wonderful memories assist you all in the days, weeks and month’s ahead and may she rest in eternal peace xxoo
A lovely lady, always smiling. It was a privilege to have known her.
I remember the lovely holiday Jack myself & family had with both Ralph and Barbara in May 1994. How at home we were made to feel by Ralph and Barbara, it was a lovely holiday we will never forget, and speak about it often. Barbara you will be sorely missed, your love, your humanity, your kindness. Sleep now Barbara, you deserve it. My love to you all.

I'll always cherish our trips to Autumn House as a child. Swimming by the lake, dinners at the table, and evenings on the veranda listening to the cicadas! My thoughts are with all of you during these hard times. Love from the west coast!
My condolences to her friends and family. Barbara was a lovely person, she will be missed.
Deeply loved and greatly appreciated for her laugh, support, spirituality, example of joy and commitment to living fully. That is what I think of and how I will always carry Aunt Barbara with me. Love you to all.

My deepest sympathies to all of Barbara's family, especially Lisa, Richard and children. Barbara was a warm, talented lady who shared her work with many of us when she brought glassware, etc. to school for us to purchase. I used and enjoyed my crystal, hand-painted candle holders for years and got my compliments on them.
I especially remember visiting Barbara (& Ralph) at their cottage. Barbara was always prepared to offer a meal for whoever happened to show up. This meal would be accompanied by lively conversation and a sincere interest in our activities & especially those of our child. Hospitality the Thriepland family continues! She was an upstanding person in this crazy world, and will be missed.
