Obituary of Audrey Stewart

Stewart, Mary Audrey (WWII Veteran, Women’s Land Army in England) Peacefully at the Champlain Residence, L’Orignal, Ontario Audrey Stewart of Vankleek Hill, Ontario passed away at the age of 88. Predeceased by her husband Michael Stewart. Loving and proud mother of Bruce (Hema) of Elk Grove, Illinois. Dearly loved grandmother of Allison Plunkett (James) of London, England. Dear sister of Hazel Palmer (Dennis) of England. Lovingly remembered by her sister-in-law Dorothy Stewart of Montreal, Quebec. She will be missed by her many friends especially Pamela Moss, Margaret MacMillan and Rose Maranta, who was by her side right to the end. Audrey was a former resident of Montreal and Laval, Quebec, Frobisher Bay N.W.T. and Mobile Alabama before moving to Vankleek Hill, Ontario. Audrey enjoyed being involved in her community, she was past President of the Cassburn Women’s Institute and the Vankleek Hill and District Horticultural Society. Friends may visit at Hillcrest Funeral Home 151 Bond Street, Vankleek Hill, Ontario on Thursday June 11,2015 from 2 to 4 pm followed by a Funeral Service in the funeral home at 4 pm.
