Obituary of Ghisline Weisz (nee Vernier)

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ghisline Weisz (nee Vernier) on Friday, February 10, 2023.  She is predeceased by her parents Lionel Vernier and Therese (nee Godin). She is survived by her husband Nandor Weisz and lovingly remembered by her children Sharon (John) and Steven (Sharon). Adored Grandma to Alexandra and Samantha, loving sister to Aurele (Leanne), Diane (Roger), Omer (Cathy), Norman (Dominique), Gisele (Colin), Richard (Eva), Elisabeth (Peter) and Robert (Tracy). Fondly remembered by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Ghisline can best be remembered by her generosity and her willingness to lend a helping hand. She was curious by nature, expressed her creative side in do-it-yourself projects, was a fan of Stephen King novels, the Walking Dead and horror movies.  She also loved to play card and dice games as well as do jigsaw puzzles. Her favourite memories were of time spent with her family.

 A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, May 12, 2023, at 11 am at Saint-Grégoire-de-Nazianze, 137 Higginson Street, Vankleek Hill.

In celebration of Ghisline, following the service, we invite family and friends to the Vankleek Hill Curling Club 136 Bond Street, Vankleek Hill for light snacks and refreshments.
