I remember seeing Mr n Mrs Hay holding hands as they walked out of church and down the hill in the mid 70s. I remember thinking how charming it was that they were still holding hands at such an “advanced” age. Doing the math now, they would have been in the lower side of 50!
Gordon and Ian, your parents had a big impact on my faith journey although I probably didn’t realize it nor express I my appreciation well enough at the time.
I hope you have much consolation from their new place of residence
Our deepest sympathies to the family upon the loss of Sydney. May his memory be a blessing
My sincerest condolences to Ian and Kathleen, family, Gordon and Carol, family on the passing of your Dad, Father-law and Grandpa. Wishing you peace, comfort, courage and love at this time of sorrow. You are in my thoughts and prayers, will be thinking of you all today.
Sydney in my mind will always be remembered as one of the auction men.
He and his brother helped my father amass a treasure trove of things long
Since disappeared from use.
He always had a story about what something might have been used for.
He had a great sense of humour.
He was a kind and gentle man and will be deeply missed

My condolences to the Hay family. Sydney was a great listener and great storyteller! He always took time to stop by and have a chat.

Jerry and I would like to offer our condolences to the family. We used to see Wanda and Sidney and Betty and Leslie quite a bit when we went to Stephanie's for lunch on Sundays. They liked sitting near the fireplace in the winter. He had a nice long life. GOd bless the family as they remember the good times.
Our most sincere condolences to the Hay Family. Have fond memories of chatting with him on Trash or Treasure day. He was a very nice gentleman.
Marielle, Rachel, Louise Clément
My deepest sympathy to the Hay family. I was fortunate to have had the opportunity to sit with Sid and hear some of his storys during his time at the Heritage Lodge.
My sincere sympathy to Sydney's family. In 1952 at the age of 6 I went west with Dad and Sydney and others on the Harvest Excursion to visit my western family. In the years that followed Sydney always had an interesting story to tell about that train trip. My brother Keith Vogan often asks for you from Estevan SK. Your wonderful memories will help you through this sad time. Thinking of you.
