Obituary of Warren McIntosh

With family at his side, Warren McIntosh of Apple Hill, aged 77 years, passed away peacefully at the Hawkesbury General Hospital on Tuesday, March 1, 2022.  Beloved husband of Bernadette (née McDonell).  Cherished father of Carolyn (David Meldrum) of Cornwall, Anne Marie of Apple Hill, Elizabeth (Steven Barton) of Vankleek Hill, and Sheila (Darcy McCormick) of Maxville.  Adored “Poppa” of Lochlan and Cameron Barton, and Calla, Finnan, and Laine McCormick.  Predeceased by his parents, Wallace and Eileen McIntosh.  Survived by his siblings Donna (Peter Loughlin), Darlene (Peter Dowling), Marian (Dennis Booth), and Walter (Lyma).  Fondly remembered by his Uncle William McDonell and many nieces and nephews.  Warren was a retired Ontario Hydro Lineman, a lifelong farmer and a proud member of the Knights of Columbus 4th Degree.  

 

Family and friends may visit on Sunday, March 6th from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm at Hillcrest Funeral Home Ltd., 151 Bond Street, Vankleek Hill. 

 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, March 7th at 11 am at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, 3737 Old Orchard Street, Apple Hill.  Spring interment in the Parish Cemetery.  Masks are mandatory at the visitation and the service. 

 

As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to Diabetes Canada or the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario would be appreciated by the family.  To express your condolences or make a donation please  click the tab on the left hand side of the page.

 

A Tree of Remembrance for Warren will be planted in the McAlpine Forever Forest, Vankleek Hill.
