Condolences
Hi Cheryl and Darlene,
Remember me a passing girl, briefly touched down in Ottawa in the building Thomas managed. He was special and I didn't deserve anyone with those beautiful manners.
Mary Patterson.
Hello Cheryl, Please accept our condolences on the passing of your brother Thomas. We will keep you in our prayers and ask for God's grace and peace for you at this time. I was happy to connect with you this past summer. Yours truly Maggie Dean
Tom.... my first love... my true love. We were separated by very different life paths, distances apart, and many decades. You were my anchor through many storms. I always knew you were there for me. You welcomed me into your family, and shoved me into family photographs. Your family and I continue on without you, Barry and Sophie.
I'm heartbroken.
My deepest sympathy to Thomas' family and friends at his passing. I have fond memories of Thomas as a band mate in Stetson many years ago. Rest in peace Thomas. Judy Woodstock
Seems like a long time ago, 1964, when my family bought a house on the outskirts of Ottawa, in Rothwell Heights. Down the street I found new friends, with you three. We met at the school bus stop. We hung out through that most tumultuous time of adolescence, going for long walks, listening to music, Donovan, Dylan, Beatles, Stones, the Monkeys, beach boys, Sony and Cher, Gordon Lightfoot, Buffy St. Marie, Joan Baez. Then each going our own way, crossing paths occasionally over the years. Always a fondness for each other and stories to tell.
Thomas was a drummer, a maker of architectural models, an Eeyore, and a nice man, a friend who welcomed me on my short visits to his world in and around Ottawa over the years.
Here’s to old friends. Here’s to Thomas, a part of our stories. Rest in peace.
Thinking of you with love
Edith
A Tree of Remembrance was planted in the McAlpine Forever Forest in memory of Thomas by Mark and Lisa Henderson and the staff of Hillcrest Funeral Home.
Dear Thomas, master-builder of my horse-drawn caravan from a scale model of his own design, my needs thoroughly considered. Brave to tackle the project when others turned away. A very kind man. A teacher for those who listened. My heartfelt condolences to the Bigus family. Ruby
