Obituary of Richard Charles Dagg

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Richard in Elisabeth Bruyère Hospital, Ottawa, Ontario on Thursday, November 4, 2021 after a lengthy struggle with cancer, at the age of 77.  Born in Montreal to the late Dr. Richard Dagg and Helen Imison.  Survived by former wife Dawn West and his children Sarah (Rod) and Eric (Shannon); five grandchildren Jorja and Kieren, Kyle, Cole and Cameron. Fondly remembered by his brother Dr. George Dagg (Dora).  He will be missed by his nieces Kathryn (Tyler) and Stephanie (Marshall).

Friends may call at Hayes Funeral Home, 134 Centre Street, Shawville, Quebec on Wednesday, November 10, 2021 from 12-2 p.m followed by a Service at Hayes Funeral Home Chapel at 2 p.m. 

Interment Maple Grove Cemetery.  Reception will be held following the interment. 

For those unable to attend in Shawville a Celebration of Richard's Life will  be held at the Vankleek Hill Curling 136 Bond Street, Vankleek Hill on Thursday, November 18,2021 from 3 to 6 pm. Proof of Full Vaccination and ID and masks will be required.

For those who wish to make a donation in memory of Richard ,may do so by donating to the Canadian Cancer Society or CMHA.

A Tree of Remembrance for Richard, will be planted at the McApline Forever Forest.
