A good friend and a good man. Sadly gone much too young.
Jamie and I shared off-campus housing at U of G for two years, took a 3-week road trip out west after graduation, and I was privileged to serve as his best man.
All this was the foundation of our enduring friendship.
We shared many fun visits over the years, both in Guelph and back at Stardale.
So many wonderful memories.
You can rest in peace Jamie, you lived a good life.
My sincere condolences to Joan and the entire Cunning family.

We are new to Vankleek Hill, Jamie was the first person to approach us and gave us many valuable advice and helps, soon we became friends.I just visited him at his home few weeks ago with my wife and my kids. He looked cheerful and positive; he shared his memories with us, and also offered his help to cut grasses for us and he actually did! He was hoping to fight the sickness for another two years......
Jamie, you will be greatly missed! Your smile, kindness, cheerfulness will be always in our memory. R.I.P. my friend!
My deepest sympathy to the Family. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
I remember Jamie and the trip we had around North America when we graduated from university back in 1972. Recently we became reunited by cancer and had the chances to talk with him about it. He was always so positive about his situation. I will miss our talks.
I am sad to hear of Jamie's passing. My sincere sympathy to Ryan, Hamish and Joan. Jamie always had time for a good visit. He will be missed by all.
