Dear Elaine, Elizabeth and families. At the tender age of seventeen I moved to Ottawa to work at the Civil Service Commission in Ottawa and during my three years there I would take the train to visit your parents occasionally on long weekends Your mom and dad and aunt Margaret and uncle Bill were so welcoming, kind and loving to me. It was like being at home on the farm in PEI, and the delicious meals were a bonus. I have always cherished those memories. Your dad would be singing at Sunday Mass. Your dad and mom loved the Island and got to know all the nieces and nephews. How blessed we were to know and love them. Amazing that your dad was able to keep in touch by phone. He was so interested in hearing about all the family and never forgot a name. I know he was hoping to reach 104. He will be celebrating that milestone in heaven and we will all remember him as a very special uncle! So sorry for the passing of your special father and grandfather and uncle.
Sincere condolences on the loss of such a wonderful man who lived an amazing life. xxoo
