I was so sorry to hear recently that Carol had gone on her final ride....She was such a real charector. I remember when she and Margerie first moved into town with tri-cycles......sailing down main street. It was wonderful to behold. Carol was full of stories of horses, people, her life. I enjoyed talking with her when ever we would meet on my errands. Then one day her trike was for sale and I decided it would be a perfect gift for my husband Lionel,s birthday......so after some negotiations a trade was made. Carol's trike for three minature paintings for one of Carol's doll house which she was in the process of putting together. This was done. Knowing her love of horses I tried to replicate some English race horses I knew. She was delighted. Lionel was delighted. Unfortunately he never really used the trike as it was too hard for him to manage at his age(quite senior) So after he passed we gave it to a gentleman who helped with challenged youth and now the trike is sailing along under the command of a proud and happy young person. I think Carol would be happy to know this....Bye for now...Happy triking xxxSusan
We were so sorry to hear from cousin Don Smith of the death of his sister Carol. Sadly, we only met cousin Carol for the first time at the Smith Reunion in 2007, but very much enjoyed speaking with her. Please accept our sincerest sympathy to all the family. May she rest in peace.
My condolences to Carol's family for their loss. I will miss her and will always remember her .
We want to express our sympathy and let you know that our thoughts are with you. Marianne, Hans and Kevin

One of the most sweetest ladies I will ever now. She would have done anything to help me and my daughter Ariel just loved her. Ariel said she was always so funny and dam she was smart . Always about the right words to use in grammar. A quilter , a mother ,grandmother , friend all wrapped up in one . But her stubborness did get the best of her. The day at Sue's Quilting Studio inVankleek Hill when she had a mild stroke and had to call the ambulance. She scared me big time. She refused to go and get checked out . Had to respect her stubborness really. Love you Carol and will miss you
Your Friend always Rachel , Ariel and Michel
