Peacefully at the Hawkesbury General Hospital on Wednesday, April 1, 2020 Douglas Bates of Hawkesbury passed away at the age of 95. Beloved husband of Claire (née Desautels). Proud and loving father of Darren (Winnibel Walters) of North Vancouver, BC and Andrea (Bertrand Ouimet) of East Hawkesbury, ON. Dearly loved grandfather of Daniel, Sarah, Jacob and Anthony. Predeceased by his son Garry, and sadly missed by his daughter Patricia and son Christopher, his grandson Anthony and his mother Meena, as well as the rest of his family in the UK. Predeceased by his brother Edward and his sister Constance. In respect of Douglas wishes, a Graveside Service will be held at Barb Cemetery at a later date.
