Obituary of Claude Brunet

Peacefully on Sunday, March 29, 2020 in L’Orignal, Ontario Claude Lee Brunet passed away at the age of 82. Loving father of David, Steven, Rachel and Julie. Cherished grandfather of Stephanie, Austin, Alexandra, Kingston, Zachary, Ariella, Emily, Isabelle, Simeon, Kyle, Taren, George and Kayden. Dear brother of Jacques, Roger, Louise and Noel.  Predeceased by his sister Denise and his brothers Yvon and André.

Claude was born on July 19, 1937 in Montreal, Quebec to Odina Desrosier and Wilfred Brunet. Claude married the love of his life Linda Pecore. After moving to Cornwall, Ontario, Claude began working for Ford as an automotive mechanic. Over time, the couple welcomed 4 children into their home. His children remember him as a kind, gentle and patient father who encouraged them to pursue their goals.

He was an innovative individual who loved mechanics and who was passionate about race cars. He was an amazing father, grandfather and friend to many. He would give you the shirt off his back if he felt you needed it more than he did.  He lived to make people happy. He never turned his back on you regardless of your situation. Claude never had any enemies, everyone loved him.

A Service will be held at a later date at Notre Dame Cemetery, Cornwall, Ontario
