Obituary of Drummond Curran

Curran , Drummond Samuel

At the Hawkesbury General Hospital on Saturday, November 16, 2019 surrounded by his loving family, Drummond Curran of L’Orignal passed away at the age of 74. Predeceased by his parents Samuel Curran and Rhea Duchesne. Beloved husband of 48 years to Ruth Curran (née MacPherson). Loving and proud father of Raymond (Lynn Bradley) and Karen (André Bonneau). Special and much loved grandfather to Bradly, Jesse, Zachary, Brianna, Ashley and Mackenzie. Dear brother of Shirley (Jimmy McDonald] Howard (Jackie), Beverly (Dan Robitaille) and Dale. Fondly remembered by the MacPherson Family and his many nieces and nephews. Drummond was a fixture at local hockey arenas, especially at the Vankleek Hill arena where he was a keen supporter of the Vankleek Hill Jr C’s hockey team. Drummond will be deeply missed by the area hockey community and his many friends. He will also be sadly missed by his coffee buddies. Family and friends may visit at Hillcrest Funeral Home Ltd.,151 Bond Street, Vankleek Hill on Friday, November 22, 2019 from 5 to 9 pm and Saturday, November 23, 2019 from 9 am to 10:30 am. A Celebration of Drummond's Life will be held on Saturday November 23, 2019 at 11 am at Knox Presbyterian Church 29 High Street, Vankleek Hill followed by a reception in the Archie Hardy Church Hall.  To honour Drummond's dedication to the game of hockey, donations to the VKH Cougars – c/o BDM Sports Revolution, PO Box 684, L’Orignal,ON K0B 1K0 or e-transfer marc.bernique@hotmail.com or to the Cassburn Cemetery Fund, 2273 Allen Road, Alfred, ON K0B 1A0 would be greatly appreciated by his family.
