Peacefully at his home surrounded by his family, after a courageous battle with cancer on Friday, February 1, 2019 Arpad Hatz of Vankleek Hill, Ontario passed away at the age of 79. Predeceased by his parents Michael Hatz and Emerencia Bedics. Loving husband of 54 years to Mary Hatz. Proud and caring father of Michael (Alanna), Veronica Hatz (Gregory Rabinovitch) and Leslie (Crystal). Cherished “Papa” of Gregory, Payton, Westley, Taylor, Ryder and Nathan. Predeceased by his brothers, Michael, Emil, Otto, Feri, Louis and his sister Elizabeth. Fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, cousins and his extended family in Hungary. Friends may visit at Hillcrest Funeral Home Ltd., 151 Bond Street, Vankleek Hill, Ontario on Wednesday, February 6, 2019 from 5 to 8 pm and Thursday, February 7, 2019 from 10 am to 12:30 pm followed by a Mass of Christian Funeral at 1 pm at St Jude’s Catholic Church 372 Genevieve Street , Hawkesbury, Ontario. Spring interment St Gregoire Cemetery, Vankleek Hill, Ontario.
