Condolences
Je suis triste de constater que mon ami d'enfance soit décédé. Souvenir à jamais de nos joutes de football sur d'immenses banc de neige dans les années 1975 à Schefferville.
I just found out my beast friend very good man and Motocross team mate while he lived in Dubai where I still live, past away in 2014. I am shocked and saddened by this news. all of my love and wishes go out to any and all of his family
I recently learned of the passing of Andrew and was both shocked and saddened. I first met Andrew in the fall of 1981 when I was a freshman at St. Francis Xavier University in Antigonish, he was in his second year of engineering. We became friends and I found him to be brilliant, quirky and a deep thinker. We shared a lot of laughs and discussions.
We lost touch after graduation but connected again a few years ago after he must have searched for me online. We exchanged emails and I was very happy to have reconnected with him. He always made me smile.
A strange story - I was thinking about Andrew a few weeks ago and wondered where he was working now as he always seemed to be all over the world. It was how I learned of his passing. To me he will always be the curly haired guy who wore a tie around his head, drove an MG and loved the Doors.
I will miss our reconnections.

I met Andrew in 1990 when he came home from Dubai. I was 17 years old and I remember feeling very intimidated by him; he had at 27 already achieved and lived a more exciting and full life than anyone I had ever met before, and he still is to this day. He worked so hard to achieve all that he had; yet would never boast or brag about his accomplishments. He is someone I admire.
Woody wrote to me in June about a funny story involving Andrew and racing - which I am sure most of you can relate to. I will read it to you:
"I remember he was in the fall 4 hour a few years ago and my team was in the hunt for the 3/4 man (woman) team lead and I was doing the last lap ..in a hurry shall we say and came up on Andrew and had a very hard time getting by him ...he did eventually move over after what seemed an eternity and made it clear he wasn't at all happy about being passed. We had a very good laugh after the race. Woody."
Andrew hated losing. I think this is what drove him to succeed.
To me, Andrew was about living life and enjoying it to the fullest - work hard, play harder. He brought so much pleasure to our lives, wonderful experiences; his generosity was overwhelming at times, and wisdom, because even though he played on the edge, he was also calculating and careful, always in control, thinking several steps ahead. Andrew was an interesting mix of crazy and sane wasn't he?
To me, Andrew is someone for my boys to look up to, to aspire to be like, someone who set goals for himself and achieved those goals through hard work and sacrifice. And now also the hard lesson: Not to sacrifice too much of yourself, the cost is much too high.
Thank you Andrew for being a part of our lives. We love you.
Andrew was a kind and generous soul with a great spirit of adventure and a sharp mind. He will certainly missed although I keep thinking he would not want us to mourn him but ratr to celebrate the happy memories. I will always think of him with his humility "NDG Adjacent" in referring to Westmount and his practically, always those running shoes to accompany his beautiful suits.

Dear Carol, Christopher and Bleau family, All my sympathies for your terrible loss. I was very lucky to have met and spend many happy moments with Andrew. He was one of my dearest friends. Andrew was generous, kind, intelligent and thoughtful to name just a few of his qualities. I hope that knowing that he was loved by many and that he touched the life of many will help you find peace in this very difficult moment. Best Regards, Josiane
Dear Andrew
You will always be remembered by Nancy, David and me as an example to follow, always wanting every one at his side to fullfill their potential.Always an example of generosity and honesty.Riding endurocross with you was the most fun i have ever had.Even if you won, you would never put me down.A real gentleman.Younger i did not know you, but when we met at a race, all my family was always talking very good words about you.My son David still talks about the times we rode a Limerick forest and how a good rider you were. When you left for Hong Kong we all felt sadness but we could nt wait for the day that we all could ride again.
you will be missed.
Nancy, David and Marcel
Dear Andrew,
Missing you and wishing that you were still with us. You were a wonderful friend to me and Frank and to our children. Your life was too short, but you made the most of the time you did have, living in Dubai, New York, Paris andfinally, Hong Kong. You enjoyed an active life, motorcycling through the deserts of Southern California, and other sports too numerous to mention here. We'll miss our dinners together and all the conversations we had; you had been in Hong Kong for two years and we had always hoped to be able to pick up where we had left off. Now it will never be and we will miss you always and forever.
Love, Tanya and Frank
To Andrew's family, I've met Andrew 20 years ago in the summer of 1994 while we were still students at Ogilvy Renault. We became very good friends and to this day, I can say that Andrew is probably one of the nicest and most gifted person i have ever met. I will remember him always as the beautiful person that he was. Please receive my sincerest condolences, Marie-Helene Lacroix
We are so sorry to hear of the loss of your son Carol at such a young age. Our heart felt sympathy, thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Cousin Marilyn & Terry
