Visitation
Condolences
Violoet was always more worried about everyone else before herself. Case and point.... The first time I remember the family all getting together for a BBQ just after they moved to VanCleek Hill. We had just finished a wonderful dinner and dessert was served. As usual aunt Linda had made a beautiful cake and everone was digging in. At this point Violet noticed that i was passing on a slice (as im not a big cake fan) As soon as she learned that i was not a huge cake fan, we had to go threw a list of sweet desserts we landed on cheesecake as a dessert that i really enjoyed. Right then she called out to Linda placing the order for cheesecake for the next get together as "Trevor dosnt like cake".
Ever since that day, evey time we arrived and were giving our kisses and hello's it was always "ohhh Linda has a wonderful cheesecake just for you, make sure you get a peice !" she would say.
Always looking out for everyone else first..
We will miss her very much, but will take all her wonderful memories with us always.
Where do I start in telling you all about my Mum? She was full of fun, loved to be center of attention, and never shied away from a good party! She had a way of drawing you in and getting you to share information that you wouldn't normally share! She had a special talent for making people fall in love with her.
My Mum taught me to never be afraid to say I love you, how to make people feel at home and like part of the family even if they weren't. She taught me to never go to bed mad with those you love. She loved murder mysteries, music and oh, how she loved her soaps! Especially Coronation Street.
She was forever amazed that she could sit on the computer and see where she used to live, loved to hear the stories of the family ties I found on Ancestry and was so happy when she could Skype with her kids and grandkids, of whom she was so very proud.
I miss the little things the most. The smiles , the sounds of yummy she would make when I made her a favourite meal, the way she would say I love you pet. I miss our morning tea, our conversations over our knitting, the way she'd laugh when I teased her. I miss her so very much. but am so very thankful that I got to share 51 years of my life with her. Thank you Mum for making me the woman I am today, for giving me the gift of love and friendship, and for being so brave for me. I will miss you every day and I hope that I can bring half as much joy to the world as you did. Give Dad and Barrie a big kiss for me. I love you. xx
