McGregor, Robert Wesley “Wes”
Peacefully at the Perley and Rideau Veteran' Health Centre, Ottawa, Ontario on Robert Wesley McGregor, born in Fort Erie, Ontario, July 29, 1919 passed away on Monday June 30,2014 at the age of 94. Predeceased by his wife Lillian Jean (née Cameron). Fondly remembered by his nephews Don, John and Ted Bangay and his niece Jean Mills. Wes was a Veteran of WW II, tank commander in 1st Hussars Regiment. He retired as Vice President of Whitehall Pharmaceuticals. In retirement, Wes cottaged on Lake of Bays and wintered at Maple Leaf Estates (Florida). Wes established a home in Brighton, Ontario, where his library board involvement led to the children's room being named in Wes's honour. Wes enjoyed business news, Toronto Blue Jays, baseball, tennis and afternoon reads. A Graveside Service will be held in Vankleek Hill, Ontario at a future date.
