I moved to VKH 6 years ago and met Bob and Bridgette while at the Windsor Tavern. Bob's first comment to me was " your not from here?" then he let out his familiar deep chuckle and said, " where are you from and what brought you here?"

After I finished telling him my story he looked at me with those twinkly baby blues ( you all know that look) and said fantastic so glad you moved here!

The next time I saw him he said " Hows my girl?" and continued to greet me that way for the next 5 years!

I loved what I call verbal sparring with Bob, his quick mind and a keen sense of humor made me smile and yes verbal spar right back! We had a wonderful connection and good repartee.

I have mentioned to Bridgette, and Connor that he was SOOOOO much like my dad is every way, mind, spirit and the fact that He Did Not Suffer Fools Gladly!! ( i told him that and he bust out a laugh then gave me a stony smile and said " NO I DONT suffer fools gladly! lol)

As I don't see my Dad much since moving from Toronto it feels like I have lost my VKH Dad, I will miss him greatly!

and Bob..." How's my girl?....she's really really sad right now"
